Grassroots Programme

The Co-operative Insurance has been investing in football for almost 40 years, supporting the game at all levels including grassroots. We believe introducing children to sport at a young age and keeping them involved is vitally important to their development; it gives them the opportunity to get regular exercise, learn about teamwork and develop social and sporting skills, all whilst having a really great time!

Alongside our sponsorship of The Co-operative Insurance Cups in Scotland and Northern Ireland we run an extensive programme of grassroots initiatives throughout the UK, including football coaching and the provision of kits and equipment to junior teams. To date we have provided football kits to over 3,200 youth football teams and coaching for over 16,000 children!
