Check your credit history

What is a credit reference agency?

A credit reference agency collects public and credit data to produce credit reports and credit scores for individuals. Many lenders will use this information, from one or more agencies, to make decisions about whether to lend to an individual or not.

Why should I look at my credit report?

There are many reasons for checking your credit report. You may want to look at your credit report when applying for a mortgage or you are looking to improve your credit rating, however if you are worried about ID fraud by checking your credit report you can identify any credit taken out in your name that you have not applied for.
