2008/2009

The Co-operative Bank is selected as a 'Business Superbrand' for 2009 and is included in this year's annual volume of 'Business Superbrands'.

The Co-operative Bank receives two prizes at the Card Awards 2009. The Woodland Trust Credit Card was named the Best Charity Credit Card, while the Customers Who Care scheme was voted Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme.

The Co-operative Financial Services was named 'Company of the Year' by Business in the Community at an awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.  This is possibly the most prestigious of all corporate responsibility accolades in the UK, and recognises those companies that, through leadership and business integration, are improving their overal impact on society.

In J.D. Power and Associates 2008 UK Retail Bank Customer Satifaction study ^SM.  The  Co-operative Bank ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Retail Banking".

The Co-operative Bank is voted best on the high street in a consumer poll ran, by BBC consumer affairs programme Watchdog, for customer satisfaction.

In 2008 The Co-operative Bank hit the £4bn mark for personal savings for the first time in its history.

The Co-operative featured in the 10th annual volume of Superbrands.

The Co-operative Financial Services featured in the Top 50 Call Centres in the UK, following an independent survey carried out by 'Call Centre Focus'.

In October 2008 a record number of customers voted in our Ethical Policy review.

The Co-operative Bank topped an annual consumer survey on financial services for The Times ran by Populas - finishing more than 13 points ahead of the nearest rival.  The study monitors overall impressions of good behaviour of the industry.

In February 2008 The Co-operative took third place and was the highest ranking financial services company in the Sunday Times Best Green Companies awards.

The Co-operative Bank wins "Best Remortgage" and "Best first-time buyer" at the 2008 Moneywise mortgage awards.

The Co-operative Bank was awarded 'highly commended' for 'Best flexible Mortgage Awards 2008.

The Co-operative Bank received a 'Gold Award' at the lending Excellence Awards for service quality, speed, transparency and communications.

4 Big Ticks at the Business in the Community Excellence Awards June 2008 in recognition of the positive impact of our corporate social responsibility activities.

Our human resources department win 'Partnerships in Business' at the DWF Employer Awards.
